The TriState Astronomers is a group of amateur astronomers from the area surrounding Hagerstown, Maryland. Our membership includes amateur astronomers from Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
Guests are always welcome!
We have a monthly newsletter called The Observer. We have star parties on the weekends nearest the new moon when the sky is dark.
We have star parties for civic and educational groups, as well as the general public (weather permitting). Our largest public star party is held at the Antietam National Battlefield to celebrate National Astronomy Day. Perhaps you've been there.
We welcome you to visit our site. If you are in the area, come to a meeting and see what we are about. If you wish to join, dues are $25.00 a year. You don't even need to own a telescope. All you need is an appreciation of the night sky.
The TriState Astronomers is a tax-exempt non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code so donations made to the TSA are tax deductible.
