Outreach
Event at Camp Nawakwa
We need help
help with the outreach event at Camp Nawakwa in Arendtsville PA,
May 14
from 7pm until about
9pm. It is an "outdoor school" for 5th graders. They have asked TSA
to help them show the children the night sky. We will be setting up a couple
of telescopes to show them the sun, moon, Saturn, and Mars and also doing a
Night Sky Network demo, but it can't be done without some extra help. It is
on Wednesday evening, May 14, from 7pm until about
9pm for about 150 students.
Cub Scout Function
May 16, 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm in Williamsport. MD. Location to be
determined

Public Outreach Programs
As a member of the Night Sky Network and as a public service, Tri-State
Astronomers offer OutReach programs to communities in the local tri-state area.
If you are interested in requesting a Tri-State member to conduct a presentation at an
event, please email the request to
Mike Sager.
Please submit the request at least 4 weeks in advance of the event.
Tri-State Astronomers is a non-profit volunteer organization and cannot guarantee
availability of a presenter for the requested event.
