Volunteers are needed for the following TSA Outreach events.

Coming Up! Research Talk and Star Party
Holst-The Planets

TSA member Kim Herrmann is continuing a series of three evening talks per Penn State semester (fall & spring) followed by a star party (weather permitting) at Penn State Mont Alto (roughly half an hour NNE of Hagerstown or 15 min N of Renfrew Museum and Park). Here’s the plan for the evenings:

7:15 PM Open the room for the talk
7:30-8:30 PM Feature Talk (Auditorium of General Studies)
8:30-8:45 PM Light refreshments (cookies) / time to set up telescopes
8:45-10:00 PM Star Party in the Perry Field)

Night Sky Network
As a member of the Night Sky Network and as a public service, Tri-State Astronomers offer OutReach programs to communities in the local tri-state area.

If you are interested in requesting a Tri-State member to conduct a presentation at an event, please email the request to Dan Kaminsky. Please submit the request at least 4 weeks in advance of the event.

Tri-State Astronomers is a non-profit volunteer organization and cannot guarantee availability of a presenter for the requested event.
