Public Outreach Programs

Public Perseid Meteor Shower Observing
Antietam National Battlefield Vistor Center, Sharpsburg, MD. Starting 9 pm the night of August 12 into the morning hours of August 13, 2010.
There will be no telescope observing, just bring blankets and/or lawn chairs to observe this event.

International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) Public Star Party Antietam National Battlefield Vistor Center, Sharpsburg, MD.
Saturday, September 18, 2010. 7pm - 11pm. Setup 6pm. More!


Telescope Clinic at Discovery Station in Hagerstown, MD
Saturday, May 22, 11am – 2pm

As a member of the Night Sky Network and as a public service, Tri-State Astronomers offer OutReach programs to communities in the local tri-state area.

If you are interested in requesting a Tri-State member to conduct a presentation at an event, please email the request to Mike Sager. Please submit the request at least 4 weeks in advance of the event.

Tri-State Astronomers is a non-profit volunteer organization and cannot guarantee availability of a presenter for the requested event.
